Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots surprised me by being far more of a laid-back puzzle-collector than its name suggests. You tap to spin a grid of illustrated symbols — dragons, swords, crowns — and the game sets small goals like lining up three matching icons or clearing a themed board. It plays like a cozy pattern game you half-watch while a kettle boils.
The controls are a single tap and the occasional drag to swap a locked symbol, which makes it a great one-handed game for standing on a bus. It saves your progress locally and runs completely offline, so I played a full session in airplane mode with no interruptions at all. The art is bright and the little animation when a goal completes is genuinely satisfying.
What I liked most is the gentle pace. There's no timer breathing down your neck and no energy wall stopping you. You chip away at collection sets of fantasy symbols, and the sense of slowly filling a book of icons kept me coming back for a few minutes here and there.
